Cornus florida (Flowering Dogwood)
Full Description
Cornus florida is a small tree that is used in landscaping because of its conspicuous white flowers. Its leaves are oval shaped with curved leaf veins. Mature flowering dogwood bark looks like thick blocky plates. In spring, four white bracts appear surronding small green compound flowers.
